Why visit Disneyland California
For many fans, Disneyland has something Orlando cannot have: it is the original park, the one Walt personally supervised and opened in 1955.
That history is felt as you walk through it. Main Street, the castle, the classic attractions: everything has a more intimate scale and details that were never repeated in the other parks. For those who already know Disney World, it feels like visiting where it all started.
On the practical side, the big advantage is how concentrated it is. Both parks face each other, the hotels are steps away and you don't lose half a day in transfers. A three or four day trip is enough to live it fully, which is unthinkable in Orlando.
And since it is in Los Angeles, it combines beautifully: Universal Studios Hollywood, the beaches, the city. It is a different trip from Florida, shorter and more urban.
