Why visit Disneyland Paris
It is the simplest way to add Disney to a European trip
Many families discover Disneyland Paris once the Europe trip is already decided. And then the question comes up: is it worth fitting in?
The answer is usually yes, especially with kids. Disneyland Paris has a much friendlier scale than Orlando: two or three days cover it fully, without the logistics of a week-long trip. The Sleeping Beauty Castle is unlike any other, and the parades and nighttime show have a European feel that surprises even people who have been to Disney in the United States.
Walt Disney Studios Park has been growing fast, with Avengers Campus already open and new areas announced around Frozen and The Lion King. That changes the appeal of the second park compared to previous years.
The key is placing it well within the trip: arriving rested, choosing the season carefully and deciding whether to sleep inside the resort or in the city.
The castle
The Sleeping Beauty Castle is the most ornate of all Disney parks. You can walk through it and it is the photo everyone takes home.
Avengers Campus
The Marvel area of the second park, with rides and character encounters. It usually clicks strongly with teenagers.
New areas
Walt Disney Studios is being transformed, with announced expansions around Frozen and The Lion King that will change the weight of the park.
Combine with Paris
It is a short train ride from the city, so the trip can alternate parks and sightseeing without changing your base.
